What Does Physiotherapy Involve?
Subjective assessment
This involves gathering information through a series of questions about your problems, condition, functional restrictions and lifestyle.
Objective assessment
This is a physical assessment that may include: observation; gait assessment; palpation; measuring range of movement of the affected area(s), muscle length tests, testing strength, balance and function.
For a horse-rider assessment, in addition to the above, there will also include a ridden observation.
Goal setting
To establish aims of rehabilitation for each individual.
Treatment
Treatment may include a combination of techniques such as: manual therapy; exercise prescription; education and lifestyle advice.
Prices
New patient assessment (60 mins): £65
Follow up session (40 mins): £55
Horse and rider assessment (2 hours): £120
